New Chameleon Mounts Report

leave a comment »

I know was keeping silence for quite some time, but it looks like I’m back, at least for now.

Markets and merchants have been checked and the table with chameleon mounts prices is updated. It looks like prices went up a little bit, but it can be a sign of inflation — other prices raised a bit, too. What worries me and at the same time makes our own future brighter is the low number of chameleons on sale. Either people stopped breeding as soon as they gained the mounts they wanted for themselves or breeding became low profitable.

Since we don’t have much time breeding is still the most profitable activity in our case. But I’m not so sure about that, cra was able to collect some money in a short time with the help of professions we have.

Anyway prices on mounts go up and the quantity of mounts on sale goes down. I guess this is good news for me and bad for the buyers.

Another Update on Chameleon Mounts Prices

leave a comment »

Finally I found time to update the table with prices on chameleons.

There are three main trends on chameleon market:

  • prices go down for all breeds;
  • low generation mounts disappear from  sellrooms;
  • majority of chameleon breeders focus on X generation mounts (plum and emerald stripes).

In other words nothing unexpected has happened.

Taciturn Cras Are Back

leave a comment »

Bots2

They are back. Finally!

For quite some time I haven’t seen these groups of technicolor cras. The day the world changed they disappeared. Moreover we were promised they would never come back. But here they are: fighting monsters restlessly, running incredibly fast, never talking to anyone… While before I saw them primarily in the surroundings of Astrub and The Jelly Peninsula, today I found them near the Milicluster, on Ingalsses’ Fields.

The choice of hunting grounds is obvious. Fields are inhabited by tofus, various flowers, mushrooms, and moskitos. Resources collected from dead tofus don’t sell really good, but for some reason one can find quite a few coins in tofus’ feathers. All other field dwellers possess materials exchangeable for scrolls, therefore these resources are in high and constant demand.

Bots

Why am I so happy with the reappearance of the cras? Because it means that cheap resources are going to return to the markets: cheap food for pets, cheap scrolling materials, hence no tofu and flowers hunts in the future.

The impact on economy these silent workers have always has been underestimated. The majority of people were unhappy with the cras and sadidas running around, but when they disappeared prices went up. Moskito wings, for example, cost four times more than they used to (400 kamas each instead of 100).  I believe many people will be happy to see prices drop.

Nonetheless, there are negative consequences. These cras never soul archmonsters, they just kill them. On top of that they normally fight weak monsters, and archmonsters of this type are harder to find. So, we can expect some raise in prices on tofu and flowers archmonsters souls, if the cras keep doing their work. Another concern is related to the ways cra teams use to gain access to the territories outside Astrub. I wonder if they use Ogrines (which are special currency allowing to buy access to more developed areas, to change the name, race, personal colours, and even gender [I have no idea how they do it, but they really do it!]).

Chameleon Mounts: Prices Go Down

leave a comment »

Pet Market

I updated my table of prices on chameleons. Prices went down a bit, but I expect further decrease. The reason is simple: chameleons are sold in Bonta, and many birds are breedable. Hence more people will breed them, however, all who are looking for profit will be breeding emerald and plum stripes and will ignore other colours. Probably, it’s not that bad for our business as we are working on wider spectrum of breeds.

Actually, I do not understand what makes people ruin their own business. The person who cra talked to the other day claimed he wasn’t afraid of competition, but later on he mentioned that he foresaw 80% drop in prices on chameleon mounts. At the same time he confessed that breeding was his main source of income. But if prices drop by 80% breeding will be less profitable and he will lose his source of high income. Then what drives him and others like him? An immediate high profit? Shortsightedness? I really do not understand. Why saw the branch one is sitting on?

In any case our breeding goal will stay intact. We are still aiming to breed and purify all possible chameleons. And we are closer to this goal with each day. Recently cra got another emerald stripe chameleon, and other girls are pretty successful in reproduction of chameleons they have. The only problem at the moment is out lack of time, and with Kanni being absent I can’t ask anyone to help me with the dragoturkeys’ training. However, in 3 weeks we should have more free time and breeding will be back to normal pace.

Some time ago chameleon mounts appeared in sellrooms and it became easier to observe the trends in this segment. Of course, my information is not complete, but at least we got some guidelines, and I’m intended to watch all prices fluctuations in order to get a better picture.
