Revenge

Bworker_medium.png

Long awaited victory was ours, finally!
The fight didn’t go smooth and far from the initial strategy that we had planned to use. In fact locking Bworker near the throne never happened, instead we immobilised every monster in the room. Of course, it took some time and required united efforts from both sadidas, cra, enu and me. But as it had been proved many times before two Ultra-Powerful’s, cra’s paralysing arrows, enu’s clumsiness curses and my glyphes combined can stop almost anything from coming too close. However, the key to the victory were sadidas’ summons, and it appeared that it was very important to have them summoned in the very beginning of the fight.
The strategy works, but the fights are slow and some impatient people may be very disappointed. Although it almost guarantees the triumph even if the group consists of not so experienced warriors.
So, after a long and exhausting fight we won, and old lady even managed to capture souls (did I mention she had been extremely absent-minded lately and even had missed several souls?). The only thing that darkened our joy were our empty hands. We found no treasures, even we knew they were there and we had come looking for them. It can be overlooked and next week we’ll pay another visit to Bworker!

Something Fishy

leave a comment »

Enu reacted much calmer than I expected. She agreed to get all that fishes we agreed to pay for the mount. She even didn’t complain. “Weird, and so unlike her!”, I thought.
Later sadi told me Kanni had asked her to remind the old lady about some bow. And we all know how she loves to work with bows…
But at least cra will have her fish without a scandal.

New Equipment Plans

leave a comment »

It started with eni, who was mad she didn’t have yet her belt even it had been promised to her long ago. And all of this when she was almost ready to wear more powerful items. And, of course, she complained how outdated and out of fashion her outfit was.
Well, nothing new, nothing unusual – talks like this happen almost every time our company is going to go somewhere. But this time cra decided to listen to eni. “We are done with mastering professions and don’t have anything urgent and very important planned for the nearest future”, cra said. “And it’ll be a good chance for all of us to shake off the laziness and warm up a bit.”
She got a really good point. We did almost nothing except professions and breeding for a long time. It’ll be nice to remember how to fight. I already feel excited.
But after this decision was made debates continued anew. Everyone needed new equipment and we had to determine our priorities and the order of gathering materials. Who’d be surprised, eni was the loudest. She yelled at us that she was the essential and the most useful member of the team, so her equipment ought to be the top priority. She was right that she was important to us, but as sadida correctly pointed out sram’s need for a new set of weapons and clothing was greater than anyone’s else. Sram, indeed, has no weapon and no battle outfit and feels useless for us (and she is useless, to tell the truth). After several hours of heated argument we finally settled on our priorities. Sram’s equipment will be the first, then eni’s belt, then enu’s new equipment, and in the end some new items for cra and me.
It’s quite interesting that sadida didn’t ask for anything for her, instead of it she reassured everyone that she was fine with her current equipment and weapons and could wait longer for upgrade. Later I checked the recipes for the items she might want, and I totally understood why she was so modest. The recipes required resources that could be only obtained when all other team members are equipped properly and have nothing more important to do than hunting them.

New Chameleon

leave a comment »

Sram managed to make a deal for almost pure-bred chameleon turquoise dragoturkey. It’s quite amazing as sram is new to our company and rarely useful. We’ll have to return this mount to the owner when it can’t have any more chickens. But still it was a good deal.
Enu doesn’t know yet that she’ll have to fish for rare fishes to pay for the mount “rent”. Oh, she’ll be mad, she never wants to give her fish up, and she can’t be interested with the chameleon turquoise mount as she despises them and prefers her monkey. Probably, we’ll be able to calm her down somehow, she likes to fish in Sufokia and it’s exactly the right place to catch unique kraloves which are agreed as a payment.
Cra is very agitated, she was working on turquoise chameleons for quite some time, but had very little luck. And now her chances are almost 100%.

Another Failure

leave a comment »

Our second attempt to kill Bworker failed. The strategy was fine, but tactics could be better.
This time immobilization and draining spell casting ability worked pretty well, but locking Bworker in the corner near the throne failed. To tell the truth we almost succeeded in it, but at the crucial moment eni’s rabbit decided to run away opening the way for the furious king of bworks. This mistake was punished severely, and we were all killed. I feel proud of myself since I was the last man (woman) standing.
It’s amazing how strong is Bworker. He killed cra who has the most stamina and experience with bare hands in instant! He is also very fast and without cra and sadis enu and I could do nothing to slow him down.
I think next time we should try to summon sadida’s dolls to immobilize all the monsters in the throne room. We can’t kill Bworker fast, but if he can’t move he is almost harmless.

Breeding

leave a comment »

Breeding is a cra’s passion. It takes all her time and she even has managed to infect eni and our new friend sram with it. Nowadays they all spend hours racing dragoturkeys in the paddocks. Moreover they made sadi responsible for selling chickens and old enu for storing valuable species as a reserve. But the worst in this story that they talked me into training chickens.
Dragoturkeys must be mature and trained a bit to be able to mate. And, of course, I understand the maturity requirement, but training? Why should a bird be experienced in a battle to become fertile? I don’t get it. It should be in their veins, on the instinct level, but, unfortunately, it just doesn’t work like this…
Anyway, today I trained thirteen birds. I was tired and didn’t want to continue, but eni gave me more chickens and reminded me about one hundred chickens in the shed waiting for my attention. And she made it sound like taking care of them is nothing difficult. “Birdies will just tag along with you while you are hunting kanigers, they won’t need much effort from you”, – eni said. I wish it was true.
However, chickens can’t be trained in groups, only one at the time. And it has one good reason – no matter how you try you can’t mount more than one of them. Therefore I also have to spend all my time on stupid things, even I promised sram some help with mastering hunter profession. But to tell the truth she doesn’t worry about it, too busy with her dragoturkeys…

Deep Moon Jungle

leave a comment »

Deep Moon Jungle is often described as a dark and dangerous place where aggressive monsters and cannibals live. But believe me these are only rumours. Cannibals can be rarely seen and only greedovres are aggressive, but they aren’t as scary as people say, except maybe for iops who are too stupid to deal with these slow and narrow-minded creatures.
Our company loves the jungle. It’s the best place for a picnic or private meetings. In a calm, relaxed atmosphere of the forest, hidden from the bright tropical sun in the shadows of giant trees and old statues we made a camp and decided to chill a bit. Monkeys were finally fully healed and fed and enjoyed the familiar surroundings.
We decided to rest in the jungle for one day more before return to the everyday routine and never-ending grinding.

Voracious Monkeys

leave a comment »

Yesterday we almost finished with healing and feeding our zoo, only dragoones and monkeys left. Today we sailed to the Moon island to refill the supplies of monkeys’ food.
If you don’t know monkeys are very picky about the food, they won’t eat just anything, they need leaves and petals of the plants that can be found only on the Moon island. So, after two hours of gathering leaves we fed our poor skinny animal. They ate all the leaves but didn’t return to norm. And they show no syptoms of getting better. Totally exhausted we decided to camp on the beach and continue harvesting tomorrow morning.
The good thing about this trip is that I will finally be able to sew a new hat for me. I was thinking about it for quite some time, but was too busy to collect all the needed materials. And I have a perfect opportunity to finish with it. Wish me luck with the hat.

Starving Pets

leave a comment »

Cra and I are back. And what did we find? Of course, starving pets and dragoturkeys miscarrying chickens.
While we could do nothing for poor mounts except giving them some cheering words and promises not to leave them alone for so long ever again, we had to do something for the poor animals.
After a long absence no food could be found in our inventories and on top of that the prices on the resources market are higher than ever. But thanks to our friend we got some (actually, a lot) sesame seeds for birds. Some nuts were found in the farthest corners of the bank safes and in the house chests, and we bought some cheap live animals for the dragoones.
Then feeding started.
It took us almost 6 hours to feed the pets, but we are not done yet (no food for monkeys). Poor creatures, they were so hungry and skinny, they required 30-40 times bigger ration and healing powder. The good thing this time pets were not too weak and didn’t lose health when we started to feed them.
Cra’s and my pets are fine now, except koalas and monkeys, we’ll deal with it tomorrow.

After a Long Break…

leave a comment »

It’s time to come back.
So many things have happened since the time I wrote here.
We mastered all the professions existing in the World of Twelve, cra decided to specialise in the water magic, and eni looking at her added water spells to her spellbook as well, we started a new guild, but due to our absence it may be nearly dead at the moment. Also we lost a lot of chickens because we were unable to take care of pregnant mounts.
Time to come back and sort things out.
